Less than 5 min: Sesame salmon

I am one of these people that do enjoy cooking but after a days work do not want to dedicate the little free time I have left before I am off to work again to cooking. So you can see where my love for quick, preferably healthy, meals comes from! And hence I am commencing a Less than 5 project, where I share my go to foods for when I do not have the time to cook yet still don’t want to settle for a Tesco sandwich…or when I do have time but am just lazy. Don’t judge, just enjoy 🙂

I realised I haven’t had fish in wayyyyy too long (whoops) and so I quickly cooked myself my go to fish ‘meal’.

Ingredients298

  • 120g of Salmon
  • A few leafs of lettuce
  • 2 handfulls of spinach
  • 5 – 7 cherry tomatoes
  • 1 tbs of salad dressing of your choice
  • Dried or fresh dill
  • 1 tsp of sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper

Steps:

  1. Skin (if necessary) and lightly season your salmon
  2. Gently lay it down on your pre heated and oiled pan and continue to fry on one side on medium high heat until golden, then flip it once (approx 1,5 min each side)_DSC0142
  3. Wash and dump a few handfuls of spinach leafs into your bowl
  4. Crumble some crunchy lettuce on top
  5. Cut your cherry tomatoes in halves and throw those in too

  6. Season with salt and pepper
  7. Scoop some of your favourite salad dressing and lay it down on it to make it tasty (I used garlic and herb)_DSC0138
  8. Sprinkle some dill on top
  9. Take your salmon and lay it down on the plate (and try to defend it from your very keen cats at this point)
  10. For the next 15 second roast your sesame seeds in the degreased pan that will still be warm from cooking your salmon
  11. Sprinkle the sesame seeds on your now golden salmon
  12. Enjoy _DSC0139

It could not be more simple and it’s still crazy tasty!

Hey there! Welcome to my Everything Blog. You know those lovely organised people who have a niche? Well that's not me, my blog is just like my mind, jumping from one thought to another. Sorry (but not too sorry). I have a degree in Psychology and am a proud owner of two amazing kittens Zeus and Momo, although thoroughly a dog person! I love cooking, I surely love eating, reading and exploring. I have created this blog with hope that I can lighten up the mid-week Wednesday with some Saturday chill vibes. Hopefully you enjoy your Saturdays On Wednesdays as much as I enjoy mine. With Love, G xoxo
