Top to bottom (hehe…bottom): absolutely in love with Anastasia Brow Wiz, as a person with sometimes curly and very long brows I need something thin to make sure I don’t make my eyebrows look even bushier than they are. This is perfect, enough said. I’ve also been loving the black eye liner from Cynthia Rowley that I got in my Birchbox all the way back in April!I just started using this now and love it for it’s easy application to the waterline and the fact it’s jet black. And then there’s the NYX copper eyeliner. I love the colour and how easy it is to apply it, though that being said it doesn’t last long at all, you can literally wipe it off like this *snaps her fingers*. But hey, still pretty.

Them noooods! I am not sure why but I got really into the nudes during the summer, I should have probably waited for the season to pass but then again, does it really matter in Scotland, aka the forever Autumn-but-without-the-pretty-trees land? Nope. I’ve been loving the Mac (every time I write this I think of iMac etc.. I bet you really found that bit of info fascinating, you’re welcome haha) Velvet Teddy in matte and the BellaPierre in Envy that I got from July’s Cohorted box, which you can see here. Additionally I got this Rimmell in 180 Vintage Pink (but dooh, it’s purple) lipstick for a more purple look and been quite liking it recently (below).

Excuse the soft focus, what’s done is done (I’m sorry). When I did my Mascara Battle guest post I didn’t really like this at all but I’ve been LOVING it recently. It might have needed time to dry out or it might be the treatment that I have been using on my eyelashes (though not sure about that just yet) but this looks wonderful now! Only one flaw, it smudges during the day. But who cares, I love it.

For the base I’ve been using something I have gotten myself quite some time ago yet forgot about. I got this Loreal Nude Magique foundation first in the number 3 which proved a bit ambitious with my pale complexion. And so I proceeded to get the number 1. Since I tanned a tiny bit during my holiday now when I sort of make these two make love on my face it ends up looking pretty awesome. Score.

And then, of course, we have this little new addition to my palette collection. These shades are gorgeous and I will do a post on this at some point for sure if people want to see the swatches. It’s been perfect for work and any beach appropriate look. Zoeva is just never a bad call, the colour pay off is out of this world.

The Books

I obviously have to mention the new Harry Potter release. It has had quite a few mixed reviews but I am more than a little biased and cannot say no to a little bit more of this magical world. You can find my summary of the first part here.

I am a big lover of a few graphic novels and was anticipating the sixth part of Saga ever since I got the fifth one last year during the ComiCon. I love the story, I love the uncensored style of it, I looooove Fiona Staple’s art here and I am just over all in love with this. Highly recommend to anyone, however you must be quite open minded for this. I’m inserting just a snippet below so you can see the art style of this. It’s gorgeous!

By far one of my favourite items in my flat is this amazing (what do you call this??) thingy.. (basket?). It looks like I got it from Anthropology but I believe it was H&M. I know copper is very hyped up still but I have always had a soft spot for this colour for some reason and I still do. Love it.

That’s it for this month, what have you been loving? Tell me/link it in the comments and also let me know if we have any favourites in common!

Let’s connect! Follow me on Instagram, Bloglovin & now also on Twitter  @SatOnWed – because the full name didn’t fit haha. 9 times out of 10 I will jump into following you back, unless you’re that 1 out of 10 robot accounts *squints suspiciously*.

Hey there! Welcome to my Everything Blog. You know those lovely organised people who have a niche? Well that's not me, my blog is just like my mind, jumping from one thought to another. Sorry (but not too sorry). I have a degree in Psychology and am a proud owner of two amazing kittens Zeus and Momo, although thoroughly a dog person! I love cooking, I surely love eating, reading and exploring. I have created this blog with hope that I can lighten up the mid-week Wednesday with some Saturday chill vibes. Hopefully you enjoy your Saturdays On Wednesdays as much as I enjoy mine. With Love, G xoxo

        1. I tried the liquid lipstick and found it so crappy I don’t understand why everyone loves them 😦 The eyeshadows are great though, forgot about that. The lipstick was a total nightmare, the worst I ever tried. Pretty colours though. xxx

          1. I do believe with the lip creams it depends on the colour. The formula for Copenhagen and Transylvania are totally different. Where Copenhagen is really strongly pigmented, Transylvania is quite weak and doesn’t stay put for anywhere near as long though. Copenhagen is one of my all time favourites though! xxx

  1. Great picks. I love that copper basket from H&M, I’ll have to take a look and see if it’s still available I’ve been looking for something similar to keep my empties in.
I love the Better than Sex mascara, probably my all time fave I just don’t need to repurchase due to wearing lash extensions most of the time now!

    1. I hope they still have it because I’m likely to go back for more! It’s not that expensive (I think maybe £12) compared to some others, but still obviously ridiculous for a piece of metal sprayed a popular colour hah But hey, that’s life.
I really want to try the extensions but I can’t afford to just now plus it’s so expensive to maintain. I bet I will cave in at some point, maybe next year. I can put it on my New Year resolutions and then I will be forced to! Plan.

    1. Hey there, I’m not on YouTube although I’m hoping to be one day (and praying nobody finds my accent annoying haha). I don’t know where you are based but you can find the Whizz on Sephora http://www.sephora.com/brow-wiz-P202633 for US or on Beauty Bay for UK http://www.beautybay.com/cosmetics/anastasiabeverlyhills/browwiz/?gclid=Cj0KEQjwoau9BRDMvsnv5MCh24UBEiQAKOqcfeb0glJY9JuXWplG-0TpR2k8Eh9GZwubK_iEXiGioH0aAgfR8P8HAQ. It’s not the cheapest thing, but when was the last time you used up one of those really? So I’m hoping it’s going to last for ages xxx

      1. Hi, I only just found this blog today and I’ve read a lot of your posts and I love them! I think you should definitely start a Youtube channel! I’m in the Uk so I will definitely check it out. I completely agree with you and I would be happy to spend money on something worth it. Plus with all the great reviews on it, I think it would be a wise investment! Thanks for you help xx

        1. Oh thank you so much, Cally, comments like these just make my day! ❤ Hopefully I will get some balls and start one at some point.
I was also a bit hesitant before buying it because when it comes to getting a right shade I couldn’t be more clueless! But they have so many that if you shoot close enough it will still be good. If you like a more pronounced brow though you might consider the DipBrow instead (http://www.beautybay.com/cosmetics/anastasiabeverlyhills/dipbrowpomade/) it’s also amazing. I usually go for more natural although I did fell in love with the Whizz and so got the Pomade too. Just linked it too in case you prefer that one! xx

          1. To be honest I’ve never really bothered with my eyebrows before so I am pretty much clueless! Thanks so much for the help, it is seriously appreciated! So I think I would definitely prefer a natural brow, would you still recommend the brow wiz or maybe something out as I am pretty much an eyebrow novice haha?! xx
