Cohorted September 2016

*Cohorted is a monthly high-end (ish) subscription box. It’s pricier than most and goes for £35 per month, however as a rule the value of the products is at least twice as high than you pay for. Cohorted also offers a perfume box if you’re interested.

20160915-_DSC0085.jpgOh hey there, guess what, here’s another unboxing of another beauty box.

Like. Every. Other. Post. This. Week.

Meh, not sorry. I really like reading these when people post them, so here’s me hoping you guys feel the same! (Let me know either way ❤ )

The box was super heavy this month and since I hadn’t opened it before I came back home that kept me guessing all the way home (is it fancy high-end stones?). And here’s what I found inside:

In the territory of Give me my Cash-monies back Momos (from 1 to 5, 5 being the worst)

The category where Zeus and Momo have a party and don’t really have any strong opinions about anything else.

One of the Discovery Brands this month was  Kure Bazaar (french brand) with their nail polish in French Rose (£15). It’s part of their new nude Autumn collection, and it’s exciting to get something that’s still to be launched. Now not to say that this is a bad polish, it’s just one of those very sheer liquidy/milky textured polishes. You know the one, that requires you to apply 2-3 layers. Dude, sometimes I am too lazy to apply one. But it’s a nice light rose colour so I will give this a go. I might change my mind but so far a little bit meh about this. I’m lazy, what can I say.

Anything from 2 to 4 Very Curiously Supportive Zeuses

20160915-_dsc0099Another Brand Discovery … brand, was Percy & Reed, a brand I had the pleasure to discover previously through Birchbox, as I received a small hairspray sample. This box included two products to try out from Percy & Reed, which is awesome. First we have a full size dry shampoo (£12). You can never have too many dry shampoos and I quite liked the hairspray so have high expectations for this too. 3 Zeuses.

Second product was a bit more unusual and exciting; an overnight Perfectly Perfecting Wonder Balm (£18). I’ve noticed that my hair was showing some major damage signs and was thinking of making myself a mask. We’ve already established that I am lazy so receiving this is awesome! More than that, this can soak in during the night without damaging your pillow or making you uncomfortable and so this will be extra nutritious! I honestly cannot wait to try this, seems like such a great idea! AND it’s targeting frizz and protecting the hair against humidity with the help from some le naturale  proteins. I mean. That’s everything that I want. If this works this brand can count me in!  How cool? Pretty cool. 4 (maybe 5?) stamps of approval from Dr. Zeus.

For a sample product we’ve got a tiny (truly tiny) MAC False Lashes Extreme mascara in black. I will give this a go tomorrow, I have never actually used a MAC mascara before so quite interested to test this out. The full size is £19.

My top pick from the box: 4 or 5 Very Curiously Supportive Zeuses

Untitled Untitled Untitled UntitledUntitled

20160915-_dsc0117This was very hard to miss once you open the box. It’s colorful, it’s big, it’s all sorts of in-your-face.  It’s the CARGO Land Down Under eye shadow palette (£35), from this summer’s collection.

And. I. Love. It.

First of all. Can we acknowledge how amazing it is to receive a palette in a beauty box?  Pretty amazing. Second, look at these colors! Perfect 1:1 ratio between matte and shimmers, all creamy and I can only imagine how vibrant some of these colours would get with some fix-plus spray!

To top that up, there’s a really good brush (even if two-sided; which way are you suppose to store them??! You just have to sacrifice one side. No other way.) and an eyeliner, which I haven’t tried so can’t say if it’s great or not. But A+ for the thought! A handy mirror, and a lightweight yet sturdy packaging.

Oh and here’s the (dry) swatches!

Cohorted boxes started off a bit meh but the August one and this one just blew my mind! I love the Brand Discovery section but I also really appreciate them popping in some products from really well known brands. I think you definitely get your money’s worth with this. Awesome. Thanks Cohorted!

I believe the box was:

What are your thoughts on the box?

Hey there! Welcome to my Everything Blog. You know those lovely organised people who have a niche? Well that's not me, my blog is just like my mind, jumping from one thought to another. Sorry (but not too sorry). I have a degree in Psychology and am a proud owner of two amazing kittens Zeus and Momo, although thoroughly a dog person! I love cooking, I surely love eating, reading and exploring. I have created this blog with hope that I can lighten up the mid-week Wednesday with some Saturday chill vibes. Hopefully you enjoy your Saturdays On Wednesdays as much as I enjoy mine. With Love, G xoxo
