5 Lipsticks for Autumn (Guest Post)

Hello hello hello, lovely people! Today we have another amazing guest blogger, Emma! She chose the 5 Lipsticks Perfect for Autumn topic and I cannot be happier with her choices and format of this post. Not only did she provide us with awesome swatches of each lip products, but also included direct links to them. Saves you time copy-pasting this into google. We all do, let’s be honest.

The only problem I have now is the fact that I want all of them. Give me them lipsticks! I especially like the number 3 and 5. Amazing!

Hope you enjoy it, please give Emma some lovin’, she definitely deserves it. All the links are down below!

Let us know what are your favourite autumn lip products? Other than the trusted lip balm, because god knows we’ll need to get these out soon!

5 Lipsticks Perfect for Autumn

fullsizerenderWell, hello there. I guess I should introduce myself to you lovely people. My name is Emma, I’m currently an English Literature student and I have a beauty blog over at http://www.violetelm.com, if you want to check it out after you read! Autumn is my favourite season. The leaves are changing colour, the days are crisp and fresh but there is still some sunshine amongst the rain. Pumpkin Spice Lattes return and spooky decorations  confront you at every corner. But, the thing I might love most is changing my style. Heavier jackets and coats, scarves, boots and darker lipsticks. Here is my pick of the five lipsticks that I feel are perfect for this time of year. I chose all drugstore products for this post so hopefully there is something for everyone!

Rimmel Kate Moss 15th Anniversary Collection – 53 Retro Red

The Rimmel Kate formula is one of my favourite in lipsticks. This is pigmented, moisturising and perfect for the Autumn when the weather is colder and your lips get more dry. It does transfer quite a bit on to those famous Starbucks cups, so I like to carry it with me to keep it looking good throughout the day. It’s a very nice red berry colour perfect for transitioning from the bright summer tones.

L’Oreal Paris Color Riche – 362 Crystal Cappucino

I only very recently bought this colour, but I already know it’s a keeper. L’Oreal never let me down and this is no exception. If you’re looking for a metallic look lipstick that isn’t over the top, this is the one for you. (It’s actually more metallic in real life.) I think this would be great for a night out to dinner or for drinks. It lasts quite well even after drinking and eating and I think this colour would look great on lots of different skin tones! (Ugh, the name of it is making me crave a cappuccino right now…)

Maybelline Color Sensational Matte – 978 Burgundy Blush

Don’t tell the others but I think this is my person favourite. Although this is a matte formula, it doesn’t dry down completely, and so it still leaves your lips feeling comfortable without drying them out. What can I say, I’m a sucker for a good burgundy. Again, I feel this would be very flattering on lots of different complexions as well as giving you the perfect vampy look for Autumn!

Makeup Revolution Salvation Lip Lacquer – Black Heart

Please, don’t be afraid. Plum lips are dead on trend for Autumn and, it seems, the darker the better. Even if you wouldn’t wear this colour during the day, it’s great for a night look or, if it’s totally not for you, why not try it for Halloween night! For only £3, it wouldn’t go to waste. This formula dries down matte and is extremely long lasting. The only thing, (as you can probably see) is that it isn’t the easiest to apply. You might want to practise with it a few times!

Maybelline Color Drama Lip Paint – Stripped Down

Just in case I completely freaked you out with the last choice, here is a lipstick (or lip paint to be precise) that is going to be great for everyday use! The formula on this is amazing, I really love it. It is super pigmented and it’s thicker consistency feels weightless on the lips. Once again, a great choice if you suffer from dry lips during colder months. Plus, it smells so good! I can see myself using this a lot if I’m in a rush in the morning or for those no makeup makeup days.

I hope you liked my choices for the 5 Lipsticks Perfect for Autumn and you’ve found something you’d like to add to your collection! Hey there! Welcome to my Everything Blog. You know those lovely organised people who have a niche? Well that's not me, my blog is just like my mind, jumping from one thought to another. Sorry (but not too sorry). I have a degree in Psychology and am a proud owner of two amazing kittens Zeus and Momo, although thoroughly a dog person! I love cooking, I surely love eating, reading and exploring. I have created this blog with hope that I can lighten up the mid-week Wednesday with some Saturday chill vibes. Hopefully you enjoy your Saturdays On Wednesdays as much as I enjoy mine. With Love, G xoxo
